Rail Europe believes that the cultural hotspots of the continent will remain popular with people from the UK keen to head abroad.
This could see many Brits making cheap international calls from Europe's renowned tourist spots, such as Paris and Brussels.
Amanda Monroe, media relations manager at Rail Europe, said: "Anything with city links will be popular so things like Brussels, Lille and Paris are always going to be popular.

She added that most people consider taking trains before flying as they are comfortable with this travel method.
A survey from responsibletravel.com found that it takes double the amount fo time to book a train as it does a flight.
