Cheap pay as you go mobiles could move towards an even closer resemblance to PCs as consumers demand even more from their handsets, according to Mformation Technologies.
More flexibility and regular updates of services and applications are also expected to be as standard.

Rob Dalgety, commercial director for Mformation Technologies, said that tastes will continue to develop and change regularly.
"Mobile users are demanding a more personalised mobile experience. Subscribers want applications and services that are tailored specifically for their needs," he stated.
"In many ways, end users are looking for a PC internet-like experience on their mobile devices."
New research from Tellabs has found that up to 71 per cent of consumers intend to use mobile broadband and other advanced mobile features on a daily basis in the future.
