It observed that cheap broadband is now the accepted way to sort out holidays, but this could change to mobiles as technology advances.

Mark Fallon, managing director of BlueSky, said: "The enrichment of the web and also the content that is on it, is making that whole booking experience on the web so much more pleasurable and interesting for the consumer.
"You are going so see more and more mobile access being added to that as well. People going to be able to access their bookings via mobile devices and that is where the leading innovation is going to go."
A whole day is spent by 14 per cent of Brits researching flights and accommodation on the internet, according to greenbee.
