BlackBerry sales predicted to increase
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.The makers of BlackBerry smartphones have announced that they expect sales of the phones to increase in the next quarter, with the help of great Blackberry deals from Skinttariffs.
Back in December, Research in Motion (RIM) predicted cheap mobile deals for BlackBerry handsets to increase by 2.9 million in the fourth fiscal quarter ending on February 28th.
However, it is now expecting results to be 20 per cent higher than this original estimate.
Pay As You Go - Great Savings
Jim Balsillie, co-chief executive at the firm, said: "RIM achieved a very strong start to the holiday buying season and the momentum carried on stronger than expected during the past seven weeks despite a seasonally slower timeframe and the challenging economic environment.
"We are pleased with our leadership and momentum in the market after shipping our 50 millionth BlackBerry smartphone in January and introducing a range of new products that are achieving exceptional early results and helping attract record levels of new customers to the BlackBerry platform."
Cheap pay as you go smartphones have been predicted to account for 23 per cent of all mobiles by 2013 by Juniper Research.
