Business travellers are looking to discount airlines as they try to save money on international travel during the recession.

That is the view of easyJet, which has suggested that businesses are trying to meet low fare policies more than ever.

Another way professionals can save money is by making cheap international calls, which they may need to do for business purposes while travelling abroad.

Paul Simmons, UK regional general manager for easyJet, said: "A lot of companies have lowest fare on the day policies and we are basically encouraging people to do what their policy says."

How to make cheap International Calls

The budget carrier official went on to say that easyJet is continuing "to do well in the business travel sector."

He added that the current economic climate is "unfortunate" but has shaped the circumstances Brits find themselves in.

A survey from trivago revealed last month that three quarters of respondents are intending to reduce their holiday budgets this year.
