Village sees end to home broadband blackspot
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals. A small village in Kent may be reaching the end of its time as a home broadband blackspot, according to a report.
Crockham Hill currently has no home broadband or business broadband access for residents, because the telecoms infrastructure is unable to support it, reports the Kent and Sussex Courier.
One local businesswoman decided to take matters into her own hands and researched home broadband suppliers.
"It has been a long-standing battle with BT and it hasn't upgraded the lines," Vivienne Cox told the newspaper.
"So I decided to do some research and stumbled across LN Communications, which has set up a lot of remote networks in the Highlands."

LN has said it will provide home broadband and business broadband for the town, but Ms Cox added that residents interested in the service must contact her, as it needs 100 subscribers to be financially solvent.
The issue of broadband blackspots was raised in parliament recently, following the publication of the Digital Britain report by communications minister Lord Carter.
It outlined plans to provide universal home broadband in the UK by 2012.
