Prime minister's embarrassing ringtone
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls. As a man who has to make many international phone calls as part of his day to day business, prime minister Gordon Brown would be expected to know how to put his phone on silent.
However, the Labour party leader was left red-faced at the World Economic Forum recently when his phone rang during his speech.
Delegates at the conference in Switzerland were left amused by the prime minister's choice of ringtone - the infamous Nokia tune from the TV show Trigger Happy TV.
After ignoring the caller and having a chuckle with reporters, Mr Brown was forced to turn his phone off when it started ringing for a second time.
Perhaps the prime minister will now be the one making some cheap international phone calls to apologise to his hosts after the mildly embarrassing episode.
With the aging ringtone suggesting that Mr Brown's phone was not the latest model, he might decide to invest in a new cheap mobile deal.
Upgrading his mobile would allow him to change his ringtone to "Jump (for my love)" by Girls Aloud - the song danced to by Hugh Grant while playing the prime minister in the film Love Actually.
