Cheap pay as you go mobiles good for gambling

As well as simply phoning up betting shops, cheap broadband on mobiles can also be utilised by those who enjoy a flutter, according to William Hill.
Graham Sharpe, media relations manager at the firm, said that the uptake of mobile gambling has been positive.
"We were one of the first to offer an mobile sports betting facility via WAP in 2001. We've certainly seen growth during that time," he said.

However, he believes further improvements to the service can be made.
He continued: "One of the biggest barriers has been the rate at which the technology has developed. The technology on mobile hasn't allowed us to offer the same improvements in service as we've been able to on the internet."
Juniper Research has revealed the UK is currently the largest market for mobile betting in the world by some distance.
