Cheap mobile deals need extra features

That is the view of Mobile Choice magazine, which has indicated that consumers are increasingly considering the extras cheap pay as you go mobile phones offer as a deciding factor.
The magazine claimed that mobiles are becoming more focused on providing better quality internet features in particular.

Mobile Choice magazine editor, Huw Morgan, commented that phones "that lack a good selection of these internet-enabling features will be left behind" by those that are more internet-savvy.
"Every device manufacturer looking for a slice of the mobile internet pie is arming itself with a portfolio of devices," he added.
He also singled out the BlackBerry Storm as having extremely good features, especially with regards to its internet capabilities.
A report from telecoms industry analysts Ovum has predicted a 43 per cent increase in mobile data services use within the next five years.
