Cheap mobile deals 'shouldn't be complex'

Rather than drowning in complex setup procedures, people simply want phones that they can complete simple exercises with, such as making cheap international calls, according to Mformation research.
The study found that 78 per cent of mobile users would be more likely to upgrade to a new handset if it was simpler to begin using it.
Pay As You Go - Great Savings
Matthew Bancroft, vice-president of Mformation, said that mobile phone operators would benefit from making changes as well as the general public.
"Operators and device manufacturers need to remove barriers to service uptake and unlock the true power of advanced mobile technology," he said.
"The message from consumers is that phone setup is simply too complex. Clearly, this needs to be addressed."
Most phones now come with features such as cameras and music playing capability as standard.
