That is according to NYC & Company, which has suggested that the current economic climate has left the Big Apple in a "honeymoon period" in terms of prices for visitors.

Many people will be making cheap calls to USA to find out what people visiting New York are getting up to, from visiting famous landmarks to getting stuck into the shops.

"A trip to NYC still remains great value particularly in terms of shopping prices,"
Jonathan Sloane, communications director at NYC & Company, said.
