There is currently controversy revolving around plans to introduce next generation broadband to replace existing services.

"If these expectations can't be met, then people are going to feel frustrated and ultimately short-changed by the service they're paying for."
Possible reasons cited by Mr Newton for possible slowdowns in broadband speeds include the weather in Britain, as well as the increased use and popularity of broadband.
Internet service providers are set to be monitored by telecoms watchdog Ofcom over the next six months to ensure that they are meeting the conditions of a new code that came into force last week.
