Mobile broadband up 25 per cent
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.The use of mobile phones to access broadband has increased further, with a 25 per cent rise in mobile broadband being reported between July and September this year.
This brings the total number of mobile broadband users in the UK to 7.3 million, research from Nielsen Online has revealed.
More than half of all mobile internet users are under 35, with a further quarter being aged between four and 24.

Of people aged over 55, just 12 per cent are surfing the net using their pay as you go handsets and other mobiles.
Kent Ferguson, senior analyst at Nielson Online, stated: "This highlights the advantage of mobile when it comes to immediacy; people often need fast, instant access to weather or sports news and mobile can obviously satisfy this, wherever they are."
The most viewed sites via mobiles are BBC news, Google and Facebook, while Sky Sports, BBC weather and Gmail enjoy high percentages of mobile broadband viewings.
One of the most expensive mobile phones ever, complete with diamonds , is set to be released by designer Christian Dior.
