Home broadband users spending more online
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals.More and more people are turning to home broadband to buy products, new data has revealed.
That is according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which has indicated that internet sales by businesses increased by more than 30 per cent last year, compared to 2006.
During 2007, £163 billion worth of goods were sold via cheap broadband, while just £125.2 billion worth of products were sold through the internet the year before.

Websites are becoming increasingly vital for firms, especially during the festive period when more money is likely to be spent as people search for Christmas gifts.
This has seen the amount of companies with websites increase to more than 70 per cent.
A total of 7.7 per cent of all non-financial businesses' sales come from selling products online, the study revealed.
In separate research, the ONS has detailed that internet connectivity has shown an increase in broadband connections to 94.1 per cent in September.
