People want 'something different' when travelling abroad

Rather than enjoying normal activities, holidaymakers want to be able to make low cost international calls to tell people they have done "something different", according to TravelMole.
Examples of this are trips to Montenegro and Serbia, Graham McKenzie, managing director of TravelMole has said.

I think Montenegro and Serbia are places that are remerging on to the tourism scene, again with relatively low cost flights and good air connections," he said.
"I think [people are looking for] somewhere different and relatively close to home."
However, Lima in Peru is the top-ranked new destination in a list of Opodo's most popular alternative destinations for October.
A new survey from travel search engine Kayak has found that as many as 45 per cent of Brits want to jet away for a break this Christmas.
