New instant messenger service from 3
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.3 has launched a new mobile instant messenger service that will be available on cheap 3 handsets in the UK.
The technology has been developed by email, messaging and technology firm Miyowa and is called Miyowa's MoveMessenger.
It has already been used successfully in Scandinavia and will now be available in the UK, with functions such as "multi-chat" accessible for users.
Pay As You Go - Great Savings
Designed to be as close as possible to PC-based instant messaging, files and photos can be sent via mobile phones through the service.
Director of product management, Fergal Walker, said: "Instant messaging has been incredibly popular with our customers since we first made it mobile in 2006.
"Miyowa's service will enable us to offer our customers function-rich and PC-like mobile messaging, which will only serve to further enhance the user experience."
One of Red Herring's Top 100 companies, Miyowa is responsible for processing more than three million interactions per day.
