Betting available for O2 mobile users

The Remote Gambling Association (RGA) has revealed that it expects cheap pay as you go mobiles to be fast enough to cater for online betters.
Most types of phone across the major networks should be able to adopt the technology to enable gambling, the association believes.

Brian Wright, director of business at the RGA, commented: "Mobile phones have always been the next big leap forward and if you look at the technology that has become available over a year or so, it's moving towards a situation where it's going to be fast enough to satisfy online betters.
"They could place their bet as quickly as they could on the internet or just by telephone so the technology is there and it's likely to be the next growth area."
A recent report from the Gambling Commission suggested that 2.7 per cent of UK adults have gambled via their mobile phone.
