Most Brits don't act on environmental flight concerns

People in the UK are so keen on travelling abroad that they do not let environmental concerns worry them, a survey has found.
Research by YouGov for Camcon Technology has found that just 22 per cent of people let green issues affect the number of flights they take, although 74 per cent claim to be concerned about the environment.
Three quarters of respondents also suggested they would be more comfortable if airlines took steps to be more eco-friendly.
How to make cheap International Calls
Danny Chapchal, chief executive of Camcon, commented: "The majority of the UK population is evidently concerned about the environment but, rather than altering their travelling habits, people expect airline operators and aircraft manufacturers to reduce aviation’s environmental impact.
"To protect the environment, the aviation industry needs to examine the technologies that are now available to reduce carbon emissions and help decrease the noise from engine jets, fans and landing gear."
There have recently been discussions about allowing people to make low cost international calls while in the air.
