People want money saving holidays

More than half of the consumers questioned by travel site Holiday '09 admitted that they were looking for money saving tips as they seek to find the best deal possible for their holidays next year.
Out of every ten people, six have indicated that they don't trust holiday brochures and will look online to find out how to save money and still have a great break.

Ceriann Mullins, editor of Holiday '09, said: "It's clear that following recent events in the industry and the global economy that customers want reassurance from travel companies placing openness, transparency and interactivity higher up their decision making process."
City breaks are on the cards for more than a quarter of respondents, while longer holidays will be taken by 20 per cent of Brits.
