Half of Britons want Christmas travelling abroad
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.More than half of the UK's citizens would like to go travelling abroad this Christmas rather than stay in Britain, a survey has revealed.
While others remain in the UK, 60 per cent of people want to go to other countries during the festive period, research from travel firm Kayak has found.
However, if people went away alone they would be likely to make low cost international calls back home, as 40 per cent would want to travel with their family if possible.

The company's business development director, Annie Wilson, stated: "Christmas is still a traditional time to be with family, but we're seeing a huge shift in how and where people are choosing to celebrate.
"The British Christmas culture is evolving from a homebound 'Winter Wonderland' into a nomadic 'Winter Wanderlust' instead."
Many people could choose to go to destinations such as Kenya, which is hoping that coverage the nation received during Barack Obama's election campaign in the US could result in a tourism boost.
