Cheap mobile calls to US alongside advertising

Holidaymakers travelling abroad to the US may also notice an increase in the practice, which a survey has revealed has grown by one third in the last nine months.
According to the Mobile Advertising Report from Limbo and GfK Technology, mobile advertising is expected to grow even more.

Limbo chief executive Jonathon Linner commented: "In economic slowdowns, advertisers typically divert budgets from branding media to direct marketing channels and it appears that mobile media is benefiting from this in 2008.
"Mobile offers advertisers a way to reach their core audience in an interactive and cost-effective medium. We anticipate these numbers will continue to grow as more and more advertisers experience first-hand the benefits of mobile advertising."
One popular reason why people are being reached through their mobile phones is today's US election, with the Democrat Party sending texts to people reminding them to vote.
