Pay as you go mobiles for limit exceeding Brits

On average, mobile phone users in the UK exceed their contract allowances by 23 voice minutes and 23 texts per month, according to Moneysupermarket.
This could cost them up to £130 extra per year and James Parker, commercial manager of mobiles and broadband at Moneysupermarket, believes that investing in a pay as you go phone could be a money saving idea.
Pay As You Go - Great Savings
"People need to be more aware of what package they have and what's available to them," he said.
"Those regularly staying under their inclusive package should consider a pay as you go or SIM-only deal. The pay as you go market is becoming even more competitive as people increasingly look to cut down their monthly expenditure."
He added that people should shop around to find the best deal rather than stick with the same contract.
ITworld has described pay as you go mobiles as "tailor-made" for students.
