Home broadband for more BBC links
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals.The BBC is set to include more links to other sites on its homepage following advice at a media event.
At the Media Society's Broadsheet vs. Broadband conference, BBC's head of editorial development Pete Clifton suggested that the company can play a more prominent role in the role of the web, Journalism.co.uk reports.
"It's not about people slavishly coming back to the BBC. This is a real change in our view that we feel much more part of the web," said Clifton.

"We want to say 'go and look at some alternative views' and to reflect a wider media community on the website."
Links to sites such as YouTube and Wikipedia already appear in some articles and this practice is set to increase, with the BBC wanting to act as a guide to news on the web for cheap broadband users.
However, the BBC has been dominating the news for less positive reasons, following the suspension of Jonathan Ross over a phone call prank on Russell brand's radio show.
