Cheap T-Mobile handsets can be foreign phrasebooks

A new audio phrase book is available as a mobile phone application on cheap T-Mobile handsets and other mobile phones.
Bas Jaburg, technical officer for Steape, who designed the device, stated: "The actual benefit here is that you can actually hear the phrase so the people will definitely understand what you are saying.
"It is really useful as an additional means of helping you. If you go to countries for a few days and don't want to buy the whole phrasebook it is convenient to have some help on a device that you have with you anyway."
People making cheap calls to Pakistan and other destinations may find their friends at ease with the local dialect thanks to the devices "faster, user-friendly nature".
It has been developed with Lonely Planet, which revealed in a survey that 80 per cent of travellers 'always' or 'sometimes' use their mobile phone.
