Cheap broadband users should learn 'email etiquette'
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals.A few straightforward steps can save a great deal of embarrassment when sending an email using cheap broadband, an expert has claimed.
Many people will be familiar with waking up to find that they have sent a message or made cheap calls to international mobiles they wish they hadn't.
News editor at Web-User Magazine, Ben Camm-Jones, believes these situations can easily be avoided.
"There certainly is a code of etiquette when emailing, though this tends to go out of the window when someone has a few drinks inside them," he said.
"Don't write anything you wouldn't say to the person in question's face. If it is an emotionally charged email or text, save it as a draft, get a good night's sleep and see if you still want to send it in the morning."
An application called Mail Goggles was launched earlier this month with the aim of stopping you "from sending messages you might later regret". It includes tests to check if senders are in a fit state of mind to send messages.
