O2 revamps website
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.A new version of the O2 homepage has been launched that makes it far easier for people to gain an improved experience of the mobile internet.
As well as the version that cheap broadband users can navigate on their laptops and PCs, a higher quality website for mobile broadband users making browsing easier and faster has been developed.
Alistair Johnston, marketing director of Telefonica O2 UK, commented that the firm has acted upon consumer trends.
"We've learned a lot from our iPhone customers. Customers expect the mobile internet to be more like the internet experience at home or the office and that is our objective," he said.
An in-built toolbar for getting to favourite sites as soon as possible has been included, as well as an option to personalise the homepage to individual tastes.
A range of Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson handsets are compatible with the new site.
Meanwhile, O2 are gearing up for the upcoming England rugby international against the Pacific Islanders on November 8th by giving away a replica jersey in the Metro newspaper.
