Money saving internet use on mobiles

Around the world, mobile internet use more than doubled in the year from September 2007 to September 2008, according to an AdMob Mobile Metrics report.
In the last 12 months, ten million advertisement requests were taken by the firm's network, suggesting huge growth in the number of people using their phones to access the internet. In all, 5.1 billion mobile ad requests were made in the last year.
Many networks are offering free internet access on many of their money saving tariffs and this can be a much easier and convenient way to access the web on the move.
The most popular handset for ad requests is now the Nokia N95, leading the UK market with 9.7 per cent of requests, knocking the Sony Ericsson K800i off top spot.
