Cheap mobile calls to Zimbabwe tourism fair

People keen to hear about the latest news in the world of travel will be making cheap mobile calls to Zimbabwe to find out the latest goings on at an international tourism fair.

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority is set to hold the rebranded Sanganai World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair in Bulawayo, which has been given the catchphrase 'where the world meets Africa'.

It will take place at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre until October 19th and has been labelled an important event in the tourism calendar.

Tourism and environment minister Francis Nhema commented that people could get a taste at the fair for what South Africa will produce for the 2010 football World Cup, eturbonews reports.

"This is going to be a preview of what Zimbabwe and the whole of the Southern African region has in terms of tourism," he said.

"This will give us the chance to say, look, this is what you can expect come 2010."

Around 750 international exhibitors, buyers and sellers are expected at the event, as well as journalists who could learn examples of how to save money when visiting the continent.
