O2 reveals mobile marketing increase

According to 02, there will be a 150 per cent rise in mobile marketing by 2013, as big brands look for more money saving marketing measures.
The survey, carried out by Vanson Bourne, revealed that mobile marketing's personal nature can result in better targeting of audiences and also more interaction with people.
Simon Dean, head of mobile media at O2 UK said there has "never been a better time for brands to engage with their customers via mobile".
"With more consumers than ever browsing the web through their mobile handsets, there is a significant and largely untapped audience for brands to target their customers directly."
People are enjoying receiving text-to-win competitions and text-to-call-back campaigns most, with marketers increasing use of these methods by 20 per cent.
The London venue that the phone company sponsors, the O2 Arena, had its visitor through its doors this week.
