China opens Olympics to tourists

All of the venues that were used to host this summer's extremely successful Olympics and Paralympics are to be opened for a week-long celebration.
During the National Day holiday, which takes place in the country between September 29th and October 5th, people can enter venues such as the Bird's Nest national stadium, where athletic triumphs such as Usain Bolt's world-record breaking 100m and 200m sprints took place.
People making cheap calls to China to catch up on their friends' activities may also find them in the Water Cube, scene of Michael Phelps' eight gold medal wins.
The swimming pool will also host a 'Magic Water Cube' symphony concert on September 29th, with a variety of cultural exhibitions set to take place throughout the week.
Venues will be open from 9am to 9pm, with a pass allowing entry to all locations costing 100 Yuan (£7.90).
