Bingo latest internet craze

The latest fad to hit the internet is online bingo, with cheap broadband users flocking in their thousands to play the game on the web.

Traditionally the fare of smoky halls and seaside holidays, bingo has transformed itself into a modern game that has been updated for the needs of cheap broadband users.

Also, playing online can be money saving, as other costs such as transport and refreshment don't have to be paid out because players don't leave the familiarity of their own houses.

C Crey, writing on Bingo Street, commented that bingo can leave players sitting "dazed and staring at the computer screen in disbelief" when a big win comes in.

"Once the transition took place to the internet, bingo games have dramatically changed their accessibility for millions of people sitting at home comfortably."

A recent online winner is Lilian Gibson from Lancashire, who won £17,186.04 while playing using cheap broadband.
