Mobile users tuning in to radio news
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.More and more people in the UK are using their mobile phones to listen to radio stations, it has been claimed.
Sky News has revealed that nearly ten per cent of the UK population is using their mobiles to listen to radio news broadcasts.
The BSkyB news channel presents bulletins which listeners can "opt-in" to every hour, while a continuous feed of entertainment, sport and news is available.
Other radio stations, including talkSport, Heart, Galaxy and Century utilise Sky News' service and broadcast their coverage.
Extra features on mobile phones such as radios are a good example of how to save money as they stop the need to purchase extra gadgets separately.
One in four people still listen to the radio in some form at least once a week, according to Sky, despite most mobile phones including mp3 and internet capabilities.
Sky Broadband Max has recently removed the "fair use policy" from its terms and conditions, in a move that the company claims gives "truly unlimited broadband" access, Absolute Gadget reports.
