Brits can get 'text therapy'

My Mobile Guru is offering the service for a number of different issues, with people stressed by problems such as the credit crunch being urged to try the technique.
Dr Gary Siva from My Mobile Guru told the Guardian: "Although we experience different symptoms, the techniques used to deal with them are often generic.
"For varying symptoms the solution is often the same."
However, the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy's Philip Hodson has condemned the idea, insisting "that could never be called therapy".
"You can't have a relationship with a mobile phone download. All you could do on a mobile download is what you can do with a leaflet, or old-fashioned agony aunting," he said.
While text message therapy may suit some people, others may wish to use their mobile to make low cost international calls to speak to a friend instead.
