News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.Google's new 'Dream' phone, which includes the Android open-source operating system, could be set to launch in the UK before the end of the year.
The much-hyped technology was not expected for some time, but T-Mobile may release the phone in 2008, with a pre-Christmas launch date pencilled in, according to the Telegraph.
Featuring a slide-out pad and a huge number of technological advancements, the phone could become one of the year's biggest selling handsets.
New internet applications will be included on the phone, with Google's new Chrome web browser expected, as well as an online price comparison service for money saving ideas and even a barcode scanner.
If successful, the dominance of the iPhone could be challenged, with the Apple product's integrated GPS set to come up against the Dream's special offer locating GPS application.
T-Mobile is predicted to exclusively launch the phone in Britain, but it is expected to be available on other networks in the future.
