iPhone owners five times as likely to use internet

While not a good example of how to save money, as iPhone contracts have to be bought with a data plan, the use of the mobile internet by iPhone customers far outstrips everyone else.
The internet is accessed on 82 per cent of iPhones, which has led to many websites altering to cater for the new audience.
Aaron Watkins, vice president of mobile integration at The Hyperfactory, believes that people will try to cash in on iPhone internet use by advertising on smartphone-optimised sites.
"With the extensive online usage by iPhone users, it makes sense to invest in an iPhone-optimized site for any brand trying to stake a space in the mobile web," he said.
Internet giant AOL is the latest company to alter their advertising in order to target iPhone users.
