T-Mobile makes Wi-Fi available in Terminal 5
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals.T-Mobile has announced a deal with BAA that will see Terminal 5 become completely Wi-Fi enabled.
People flying from Heathrow Airport will be able to connect to the internet via mobiles, laptops and PDAs while waiting in the terminal, as well as other areas of the airport.
The size of the Wi-Fi HotSpot is unprecedented in the UK, covering about 50 football pitches and adding to T-Mobile's 1,000 HotSpots in Britain.
With 27,000 HotSpots around the globe, T-Mobile is already the world's largest public Wi-Fi provider.
Richard Warmsley, head of internet on the move at T-Mobile UK, commented: "T-Mobile is committed to meet the increasing demand for people on the move to be able to connect to the internet when and where they need to whether for business or pleasure."
People flying off to any destination will still be able to make low cost international calls and will be pleased at the positive news about Terminal 5 after a series of problems with luggage losses and flight cancellations since it opened earlier this year.
