Nokia launches new mobile music scheme
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.Mobile phone handset manufacturer Nokia has announced plans to launch a new mobile that will include special music features and be available in time for the Christmas rush for mobiles.
The Comes with Music package will allow users to download music from a large number of artists, including The Killers and Madonna.
Record labels such as Sony BMG, Warner Music Group and Universal have signed up to the project, while the phone is set to be distributed by Carphone Warehouse.
Comes with Music is a good example of how to save money as users will be allowed to keep downloaded songs, unlike with other mobile music schemes.
Nokia head of marketing Will Harris stated that music is one area the company is utilising to boost sales, with the Nokia Music Store also being launched in the UK recently.
"This year, Nokia has been focusing its marketing activities on the three specific applications that are now available on all its handsets: games, maps and music," he said.
