A Facebook button on a new handset is set to feature prominently in a new push to get people using phones for cheap international calls to also use mobile broadband.
The new phone will launch just in time for the Christmas rush of consumers buying mobiles and is set to be the first to offer instant access to the social networking site.
Mark Allera, spokesman for the firm, commented that the handset will give users "a more integrated experience" and suggested that mobile internet will soon be as "normal as text messaging".
He also bemoaned the difficulty of call-rate systems put in place by the EU, stating: "We want flat-rate pricing for all our customers. Theres complexity in the market and we want to simplify it."
Facebook is experiencing massive growth in South America and Turkey currently, as it continues to spread across the globe.
