News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.Cheap broadband customers may be concerned with how to save money and all the latest cheap Vodafone handsets but what happens to the old cheap Pay As You Go mobiles once you've moved on?
Residents in Bidford are being urged to pull their old forgotten handsets out of the bottom drawer and to dispose of them in a green way - by recycling them.
The Evesham Journal reports that Warwickshire Waste Partnership wants locals to recycle their old mobile phones for charity.
The move comes after handset manufacturer Nokia revealed that a mere one in ten people bother to recycle their old handsets, while almost one half leave their old mobiles in a drawer at home.
However, Warwickshire County Council announced that phones recycled at its household waste recycling centres are then passed on to guide dogs for the blind, an organisation that recycle the phones in order to fund guide dog puppies.
