Newspaper offers free mobile content
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs. Providers of price comparison for cheap international calls. One of Britain's biggest newspapers has announced it is to allow mobile content to be viewed for free from 3G and WAP-enabled phones.
Telegraph.co.uk will be available free of charge, with news, sport, travel and other areas of the website available for mobile users.
A new version of the site has also been launched, with updated content going simultaneously onto the web and mobile sites.
Telegraph Media Group's (TMG) product development manager Aashish Chandarana stated that the new mobile site "reflects the areas of redesign on the website" but still maintains the newspaper's distinctive features.
"As each section of the website gets a new look and feel, it will be added to the mobile site as well," he said.
Until this new launch, TMG charged users a £5 subscription to use its services.
The Times, the Sun and the News of the World all part of Rupert Murdoch's News International group, already offer free access to mobile sites.
