World's oldest blogger fondly remembered
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals. The world's oldest blogger will be mourned by thousands of internet friends as well as her relatives.
Australian Olive Rialy, who was reportedly 108 years old, has died, after posting 74 entries on her blog since February 2007.
The blogger's final entry was heart warming and described singing a happy song to a fellow resident of a nursing home.
Her musings covered the 20th century, from the Great Depression to her early childhood in the 1900's.
Great-grandson Darren Stone told the Associated Press that Riley loved staying in touch and that it kept her mind sharp in her old age.
"It was mind blowing to her," Stone said. "She had people communicating with her from as far away as Russia and America on a continual basis, not just once in a while."
Riley was introduced to blogging by a friend who had taken it up. Documentary maker Mike Rubbo told Australia's ABC news: "He suggested that Ollie could blog so we put it to her and explained what a blog was and then I undertook to do all the sort of leg work."
