iPhone launch 'causes chaos'

150 fans were waiting outside Apple's shop in Regent Street, but had to wait several hours before they could start using the new phone to make cheap international calls and use its numerous features.
However, many people think it was worth the wait, with QuicklyBored editor Kyle McInnes calling it "the pinnacle in mobile entertainment" and "pornography for gadget whores".
A spokesman for Apple was quick to explain the network problems would be resolved soon and that the iPhone was proving extremely popular.
"Customer interest in iPhone has been phenomenal this morning."
"We are working to get the systems back up to full speed as quickly as possible," he said.
Combining the features of a mobile phone with an iPod's music and video capabilities has seen the iPhone 3G gain huge levels of interest, with other attributes including a GPS satellite positioning service and a faster web browser for mobile broadband.
