T-Mobile makes uploading, downloading faster
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals.T-Mobile has deployed new technology which it claims will give users up to five times the speed when uploading photos and videos to the web.
The mobile broadband and network provider, which offers deals through skinttariffs.com has become the first operator to deploy HSUPA technology nationwide.
Its high speed uploading system went live on July 1st and also upgraded download speed on the 3G network to 7.2Mbps.
The provider had its speeds tested by P3 Solutions, which found that it had the best browsing and downloading speeds.
Mobile UK Chief Executive Jim Hyde said: Mobile Broadband has come of age. Today, 25% of new contract customers are signing up and we expect to quadruple our user base in 2008. We knew mobile broadband would burst on the scene and our continued investment in new technology is paying dividends for customers seeking a fast, consistent service which offers great value."
The network provider recently announced an 80 per cent cut in roaming data charges.
