T-Mobile adds Bebo to social site service
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of price comparison for cheap international calls. The joys of social networking on the move will soon be a reality for T-Mobile customers.
The network provider, which already has a My Social Sites service, is to add Bebo and Piczo to its offering.
Customers of T-Mobile, which offers deals through skinttarrifs.com, can receive SMS alerts whenever there is activity on their profile or wall or page.
They can read the messages for free, though interacting with their profile will cost between 5p and 20p.
T-Mobile already includes Xanga, LiveJournal and Rabble in its service.
"Our customers have told us they want to stay in touch with their social networks wherever they are, and My Social Sites allows exactly that. By adding Bebo and Piczo to the service we've added two of the industry's most popular sites," said Pauline Lunn, head of Beyond Voice at T-Mobile.
Mobile phones have drastically increased the connectivity users have with their friends and family, with the facility to make cheap international calls a boon to people living away from relatives.
