Vodafone mobile broadband coverage to reach 3m moreMobile broadband provider Vodafone, which offers deals through skinttariffs.com has announced investment that will make its services available to an extra three million UK consumers.

A multi-million pound investment into boosting the provider's High Speed Uplink Packet Access infrastructure across six UK towns and cities is set to be completed by the autumn of 2008.

Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Reading are set to come online by autumn of this year as Vodafone boosts its coverage.

The first of the network's upgrades saw the major British airports and London offered download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.

Nick Read, CEO of Vodafone UK said: "The recent acceleration in the take up of mobile broadband has demonstrated just how hungry consumers are for internet access wherever they are. As a result we are significantly investing in our network so that more customers can experience our award winning, fast and reliable mobile broadband network".
