Virgin Mobile to sponsor Big Brother
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of price comparison for cheap international calls. As another series of Big Brother approaches, network provider Virgin Mobile has announced that it will be sponsoring the Channel 4 social experiment/reality TV show.
Virgin Mobile, which offers deals through skinttariffs.com, said that the show, now in its 9th year, was a "perfect fit with the Virgin Mobile brand".
"Big Brother is still the biggest reality TV phenomenon on the box," Jmes Kydd, managing director of marketing and brand at Virgin Mobile said. "When it's not being broadcast on Channel 4, we look forward to keeping fans up to date via our mobile, TV and web portal platforms."
Virgin Mobile also sponsored last summer's series and used actual footage of the housemates for its adverts.
Participants were seen in actual footage, with invented subtitles promoting Virgin Mobile.
This time around, the deal will also see the promotion of other Virgin Media products, such as broadband and television packages.
