T-Mobile gets more users, revenue

T-Mobile gets more users, revenueNews brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.

Rising numbers of mobile phone customers helped T-Mobile record higher first quarter revenue, the firm has reported.

T-Mobile, which offers contract and pay-as-you-go deals through skinttariffs.com, said that in the first quarter of 2008, revenues had risen 2.6 per cent to £801 compared to the same time last year.

The growth was driven by a 2.3 per cent rise in customers compared to a year earlier, with the amount of people using the mobile network provider rising to 17 million.

Jim Hyde, chief executive of T- Mobile UK, said the firm was looking to increase its market share and boost its number of customers.

"In a market which remains highly competitive, we have not chased growth at any cost, but have focused on attracting quality customers and building customer satisfaction through continued innovation and superior value," he said.

T-Mobile customers, like users of any mobile network, can use skinttariffs.com access codes to make cheap international calls.
