Download speeds key to broadband satisfaction

Download speeds key to broadband satisfactionNews brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals.

Download speed is the number one factor in determining broadband consumer satisfaction according to a survey.

A study of 90,000 broadband speed tests coupled with a user satisfaction survey revealed that the fastest three providers also had the most satisfied customers.

O2, the telecoms provider that offers mobile phone deals and broadband packages through skinttariffs.com, took first place in the Top 10 Broadband survey. With an average speed of 6.41 it garnered a customer satisfaction rating of 3.82 out of five, while Be and Virgin Media followed in second and third place.

"This report sends an indisputable message to broadband providers to speed up or face the wrath of disappointed customers. BT's planned infrastructure upgrade, which will provide super-fast ADSL2+ download speeds across the UK, starting at the end of the month cannot come soon enough," said Jessica McArdle from Top 10 Broadband.
