BT voted worst landline
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of price comparison for cheap international calls. BT was singled out as the worst landline provider in the UK according to a new survey by uSwitch.
A total of 25 per cent of householders said they were dissatisfied with the service they received from their providers, while up to three million BT customers (out of a total of ten million) said they were disgruntled with their service.
The survey polled more than 11,000 customers across nine categories, revealing that BT came out as the worst provider of the lot.
Meanwhile the chief executive of BT, Ben Verewaayen, has announced he will step down as head of the group on May 31st after more than six years with the company.
Ian Livingston, who is currently chief executive of BT Retail, will take over Mr Verwaayen's spot beginning June 1st.
Mr Livingston was credited with turning around the company, according to BT's chairman Sir Mike Rake.
"Ben has been an exceptional CEO whose courage and leadership has transformed BT from being a deeply troubled organisation into a thriving business with global capability and a clear strategy for the future," he said.
