Women: save money with 'half head of highlights'

News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of price comparison for cheap international calls.
Women should get "half a head of highlights" when they go to the hairdresser, instead of getting the treatment all over their head to save money, according to one newspaper.
With the credit crunch and its implications meaning personal finances are squeezed more tightly, the Daily Telegraph, like many other publications drew up a list of money saving ideas.
As well as cutting down on hairdressing bills, because "Do you really care what it looks like at the back?", the newspaper suggests getting beauty products as freebies. It urges people who want to save money to go to department stores and ask for samples of products and notes that the more expensive the store, the more generous it is with its samples.
Women can also book themselves in for complimentary make-overs at certain beauticians' counters with no pressure to actually make a purchase.
